Everyone wants to be a rescue hero, which is why is great news that May is mega for rescue training at the National White Water Centre! We've got a huge choice of training courses going on, so there's bound to be one which suits your rescue requirements.

First up, we have a Rescue 3 Whitewater Rescue Technician - Professional course. This is 3 days of training and is specifically designed for professional river users (raft guides, safety kayakers etc).

• Duration: 3 days
  
• Pre-requisites: Confident swimmer with experience of either rafts, canoes, kayaks or sea level traversing.

The following week we have a Rescue 3 Whitewater Rescue Technician - Advanced course. This is a 4 day training course which follows on from the WRT-Pro and is tailored for professional river users in challenging whitewater environments.

• Price: £390 per person
  
• Minimum age: 18 years old
  
• Duration: 4 days
  
• Pre-requisites: Confident swimmer with experience of either rafts, canoes, kayaks or sea level traversing.

To round it all up, we have a British Canoeing White Water Safety & Rescue course which is on the last bank holiday weekend in May. This is a 2 day training course which provides a perfect introduction to safety & rescue techniques.

• Duration: 2 days
• Pre-requisites : Confident swimmer with the ability to paddle on grade 2 water
