2 days focussing on the personal paddling and leadership skills necessary to prepare you for the White Water Leader Award. You should be comfortable paddling on grade 2(3)  in order to undertake the training.

The White Water Leader award is for the paddler who wishes to lead groups in the moderate water environment - grade 2(3). 

Price: £180pp based on 2 candidates (1:1 £200)

Minimum age: 16 (please call to discuss a booking for an under 18)

Duration: 1 day for 2 candidates or 1/2 day 1:1 

Full national governing body membership, and registeration with them for the course (there is an additional cost for this)

2 day outdoor First Aid Award & Safe Guarding training - both must be recognised by BC and be within the last 3 years

White Water, Safety and Rescue training

This one day course is suitable for anyone starting out on their white water paddling journey, wanting to explore the role of an effective group member and learn simple strategies and safe skills that can provide the tools to solve common paddling issues.

Pre- requisites: Some experience of grade 2 moving water

Paddlers will explore simple strategies and safe skills that can provide the tools to solve common paddling issues. All modules are interactive, practical sessions, discussing and using equipment, and exploring possible solutions to common issues in a moderate white-water

grade 2 (3) environment.

Price: £260 per person 

Minimum age: 14 (please call to discuss making a booking for an under 18)

Duration: 2 days

Prerequisites: Hold the White Water Award or have equivalent ability.

Prerequisites: Be confident in your ability to paddle grade 3/4 white water (and swimming in that environment). Ideally have completed Paddle UK WWS (within the last 3 years). Holding a valid first aid certificate is strongly recommended.

The Coach Award is designed for people whose core function is to coach paddlers who want to gain/improve paddlesport skills within the discipline chosen. This will include coaching beginners new to the sport, or paddlers looking to develop their skills in the given discipline or environment. This is based on moderate white water, if you'd prefer the advanced white water option, please call to let us know.

Duration: 2 days

Prerequisites: Full NGB membership, Core Coach training & White Water Kayak Leader award
