The aim is to equip students with the skills they need to perform rescues in white water situations at a professional level. The Whitewater Rescue Technician – Recreational course is designed for recreational paddlers with existing river experience, to provide you with the necessary skills to perform rescues in whitewater river situations. 

This course is a recognised alternative to the BCAB White Water Safety (WWS).

Duration: 2 days 

pre-requisites: confident swimmer with experience of water based activities (e.g. kayaker, canoeist)

This 4 day course is the next step from the Whitewater Rescue Technician course. It will develop your skills further and is designed for outdoor professionals working in challenging environments. The main focus is on solutions to rescue scenarios, high angle access and egress, incident management and effective use of safety equipment.

Price: £450 per person 

Minimum age: 18 years old.  

Duration: 4 days 

Prerequisites: Rescue 3 WRT-Pro 

This 8 day course is for river professionals and outdoor instructors. It is designed for teaching white water rescue techniques. These 5 training days are followed by 3 assessment days.

The cost is for all 8 days.
