Raft races at Canolfan Tryweryn

As well as recreational rafting, we also host many competitive rafting events at the Tryweryn. National and international races and team selections take place on the river. Raft racing is a very inclusive and welcoming sport. For anyone who may be interested, British Rafting’s Facebook page is a great place to start exploring.

Raft races make a fantastic spectator sport. Whilst our recreational rafts will stop and play on particular rapids, or surf back into a wave, raft race teams have one mission in mind, and that is to complete the course as fast as possible, picking up as few faults as they can.
